New York Global Group

New York Global Group is a Wall Street based strategic consulting and investment firm with subsidiaries in Beijing, China, as well as in the city of New York. With a decade of Asia-specific business experience since 1998, most notably in China, New York Global Group is a widely sought-after financial services company for clients and client companies looking to do business between the US and Asia.

New York Global Group defines itself with four singular areas of expertise. These four areas include global investment banking, research, due diligence, and strategic consulting.

Part of New York Global Group's business includes the bridging of cultural gaps between China and the United States. In May of 2006, New York Global Group hosted a key delegation of Chinese mayors. This trade delegation included mayors heralding from 19 of the most dynamically enterprising, rapidly growing cities in China. The mayor delegation took the 2006 trip with a specific motive: to discuss market entry opportunities for those Chinese companies concerned with expanding their business to include United States capital markets. As a secondary motivation, the trade delegation of mayors from these most upwardly mobile Chinese cities visited New York City in order to better understand the US markets and their workings. Mayors in China are appointed officials and have broad administrative authorities.

After first attending and completing an executive training program at Yale University, (the program's focus being the issue of urban development) the mayor delegation made their way to New York City to enjoy the hospitality of the New York Global Group as their host in a culturally linking program led by the Wall Street based company.

New York Global Group facilitated the delegation of mayors’ visit to the New York Stock Exchange, as well as a meeting with NYSE CEO John Thein as well as EMEA & Asia/Pacific Global Corporate Client Group executives. Topics discussed at length during the tour included the idea of potential NYSE listing opportunities for foreign companies, specifically China-based foreign firms.
